i’m just waiting for the other ipod to drop
so everybody’s up in arms that the new ipod nano isn’t perfect. life is hard, isn’t it? fine, i understand the point, that the product was rushed to market, known to be defective. so the man is suing for the original price of the nano, the fee he had to pay to return it, and “several other forms of damages.” the best part of this is that, according to a story in red herring they are asking for a share of nano profits as part of the damages.
so, let me get this straight. “apple, fuck you for making me buy this crappy product. i want my money back and all money i associate with using this device. plus i want a piece of the profits that you make off all the other sad fuckers who bought this and will continue to buy it even though it’s defective” that’s nice. i really like that.
in the meantime, even though i had a horrible weekend when it came to matters of technology, my big old outdated-by-3-or-4-generations-now ipod still works. i mean i’m not exactly delighted to have a crappy old ipod when everybody else has shiny fabulous new ones, but…
i have the nano and it is really charming. it has increased my self-esteem ten fold, with it in my pocket i can talk to pretty girls and everyone else i deem better than myself. sometimes when feeling down i like to walk by people with older ipods and bring out mine just to fiddle with it for a while, it just feels so good. the only draw back is when my pretty white head phones get caught up on the collar of my lacoste shirts, which in order to fit in i wear collar up, obviously.
