seriously, what the hell?  but apparently he’s back with kate moss, according to dlisted according to someone else, they’ve been holed up for the past 5 days in a hotel.  true love conquers i guess…

now see, i dont think this story is so bad compared to some of the other ones. if you think about it, pete could have just left the place and his cousin for someone else to deal with. instead he did the cousin-ly duty of calling an ambulance and putting his cousin out on the sidewalk. he just didnt want to get caught.

yes, of course it’s a terrible thing, i’m employing a device called “sarcasm” here. but i think ive said it before, why is anyone surprised at these stories? im starting to get sick of hearing them actually. it’s getting to the point where you just shake your head and move on, the exploits cease to be entertaining and you wish it would all just go away.

KATE MOSS beat up on-off boyfriend PETE DOHERTY in a mad frenzy after reading how he sprayed his blood at two MTV cameramen. The supermodel summoned the BABYSHAMBLES frontman to her north London home and set on him after reading about his antics after a gig in Berlin, Germany last week (ends12MAY06). After arriving at her St John’s Wood pad at 5 am Moss began kicking and punching him in the street. Doherty says, “She was angry about the blood spraying thing. She beat the crap out of me. She layed into me punching and kicking. “I’m alright, but she hurt my finger. I couldn’t do anything back, because she’s a girl.”

this whole story makes no sense to me. ive read it 4 times now and still cant figure it out. did anyone ever call pete doherty and kate moss “pete moss” (like peat moss, get it?) when they were dating? anyway… what the fuck is this story about? over on the superficial someone said that they were like sid and nancy, the sequel. im not convinced about that one because i think sid and nancy (according to the movie, and like the one book i read, so i totally know what im talking about) had this really sick need for one another that i dont think pete and kate have…why do i even spend my time thinking about these things?

is this story true? i wouldnt be surprised if pete doherty made it up and is having a good old laugh about it now. if it IS true then she was probably more angry that he came to her apartment at 5 in the morning. i would have been. or that he came to my house at all.

fine, pete doherty has done it.  bless him, he’s made me care and i said it would never happen.  i read his prison diary as published here in the guardian.  a lot of it is bullshit, yes, but i feel for the kid.  i guess he’s not such a kid, he must be 28 by now.  anyway, i cant quite decide if some of things he’s saying are trite or if i’m being too harsh, but he is growing on me.  when he’s not too busy trying to write lyrics, which most of the diary feels like, he manages to sound like he’s not an idiot.  the last paragraph is where he got me.

For my own sake - because it feels like they have the power to cut off my head - I must become a hero, organise my life and obtain from it what they deny me. If I live, in order to continue to live with myself, I must have more talent than the most exquisite poet. These people can only put up with the tamed heroes - they don’t know about heroism.

okay, look, if all the brokeback mountain coverage is getting old, can someone please ask the police to stop arresting pete doherty? i’m starting to feel bad for the kid. slightly. arrested, released, and arrested the same day? james frey should take notes from this guy. and maybe augusten burroughs too. on a side note (i guess this whole “blog” is side note after side note–will someone please help me find a point?) it makes me feel better if these people’s wretched stories are half-truths. i cant help it, i want people to be happy. i’m a nurturer.

where was i now…? oh yeah, pete doherty. the crazy homeless dude who used to be on avenue a and wore the headband all the time (occasionally he would set it off with a pigeon feather) was more together than this dude. i dont understand how people go on and on about pete doherty. i see the charm of the babyshambles, i do. i dont mind mess in music. i’m not in love with them, but i’m not going to turn off the radio if it comes on. but i think doherty’s celebrity status (well, celebrity within a certain sphere) should be revoked. it’s like a puppy that bites or a kitten that steals food off your plate. after a while, it’s not so cute anymore. and it’s not rock and roll to be an addict and miss your own gigs. it’s pathetic. im not saying he should be a role model, i’m just saying that i dont see why people keep glorifying him just for being a fuck-up. it’s like anton from brian jonestown massacre, at least how he’s portrayed in dig. this guy gets away with doing and saying the stupidest shit because people dont know what to make of it. so they say he’s a genius. i know what to make of it, it’s bullshit! anyway, whatever. wake me up when the collective “we” is over pete doherty.
